Thunberg was decisive in August of 2018. She walked out of school, and put up a sign that read 'School Strike For Climate and calmly was seated outside of the Swedish parliament. The aim was drawing attention of politicians to take action to stop global warming. Swedish media reported Thunbergs protest, and also spread the story. In the following days, a plethora of students from around the globe joined her #FridaysforFuture strikes skipping school on Fridays to demonstrate against climate changes.
