Taylor-Joy acknowledged that her move was difficult and that she was unable to study English in the hope of return to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School and studied ballet, while also performing in school's productions. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting career.
